Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 16 "Prior Commitments"

Wow, what a season finale! I laughed, I cried, I was shocked and was seriously left wanting more. Just when I thought there couldn't be any more twists, they throw in another huge one that will surely keep us guessing throughout the next installments of Brothers & Sisters. This has been a great season and I can't wait for the third.

This final episode centred around Kevin and Scotty's commitment ceremony, but it still managed to fit in typical Brothers & Sisters plot devices, from the family meeting of the opening scene to the road trip Kevin and Tommy and Justin took. The Rebecca and Justin storyline reached a dizzying climax and another whopping secret about William was unearthed by Sarah and Kevin.

Fictional Sibling Fest At Roma Fiction Fest

The Roma Fiction Fest turned in to a fictional sibling fest as cast mates from two of my favourite shows — Brothers & Sisters and Dirty Sexy Money — gathered at a photo call at the Adriano Cinema in the Italian city yesterday. The gorgeous Dave Annable and adorable Luke MacFarlane stood either side of their Brothers & Sisters pal Balthazar Getty, perhaps protecting him from all those rumours about his alleged affair with Sienna Miller. Seeing the other trio of TV stars — Peter Krause, Natalie Zea and William Baldwin — has made me excited all over again for the next season of Dirty Sexy Money. Which series do you enjoy the most?

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 15 "Moral Hazard"

We’re onto the penultimate episode of this second series of Brothers & Sisters, so there are some big moments in last night’s installment as we gear up for the season finale. This series has gone so quickly — I don't want it to end!

The collapse of Ojai Foods takes centre stage, with Sarah and Saul both making big decisions about their personal lives as well as the company’s future. Kitty and Robert continue their baby-making attempts, Kevin and Scotty's relationship develops further, and the Justin and Rebecca storyline also reaches new heights of intensity …

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 14 "Double Negative"

Last night's episode of Brothers & Sisters finally gave us the answer to the Rebecca paternity question and about time too! We also got to see all the Walkers come together for a fundraiser and for once they didn't disgrace themselves publicly.

Various partnerships came under the telescope in Episode 14, with Sarah confronting her trust issues with Graham, Kitty and Robert facing the choice between family and ambition, and Justin and Rebecca continuing to dance around their feelings for one another. There were some interesting developments in Kevin and Scotty's relationship too, which provided a hilarious exchange between Justin and Kevin.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 13 "Separation Anxiety"

Now we're onto episode 13 of Brothers & Sisters certain storylines are coming to a head, and I'm getting rather excited about the whole Rebecca-paternity-issue. The big bombshell of last night's installment was that Isaac's returning to Washington DC for a Professorship and wants Nora to go with him.

We got straight down to it with a pretty hot and heavy opening last night, with Sarah and Graham making out, and Rebecca and Justin walking in on Holly and David getting frisky on the sofa. In the words of Big Brother twins Sam and Amanda, cringe! After all that heat we got sobered up pretty quickly, when the votes come in and Robert suspends his campaign to become the Republican candidate for President. We then see a longer-haired Robert on our screens "3 months later".

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 12 "Compromises"

Wow, lots happened in last night's episode of Brothers & Sisters. We didn't get any Justin or Tommy news but the rest of the Walkers were busy busy busy. Sarah and Kevin went out drinking while Kitty was playing step-mum to Robert's kids in Michigan and Rebecca was learning more about her mother and maybe-father David.

The karaoke bar scenes with Sarah and Kevin are great fun and a big highlight of the episode for me, but I also really enjoyed watching Kitty figure out how to be a step-mum to Robert's kids. There's also a couple of interesting kissy-kissies going on, but more of that later ...

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters 11, "The Missionary Imposition"

We had lots of relationship developments in last night's episode of Brothers & Sisters, with Jason returning to LA, Nora and Isaac's un-chaperoned date, Julia and Tommy's attempts to fix their relationship and Justin and Lena's complicated arrangement.

The episode started with Kitty on the phone to Nora, who is stressing because Isaac hasn't called. She turns up at his office to invite him for lunch, but as he's busy he invites her out to dinner. Yay! As she's trying on different dresses with Rebecca's help she delivers one of the best lines of the installment — as she tries on a too-small dress she says "These can't possibly be mine. How much weight can you lose in an hour and a half?". Heh.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 10 "The Feast of Epiphany"

This week’s episode of Brothers & Sisters was all about whether or not you should tell the truth, even when the truth would hurt someone – a pretty appropriate topic for most of the Walkers really, and a fair few truths came out.

Nora arranged a big family dinner so that her children could chaperone her “date” with Isaac (loving Nora’s dating nerves!) and, as is the case whenever the family get together en masse, a few secrets were revealed. Julia dropped a bombshell, Justin had a little something to say to his siblings, Robert admitted his thoughts about the future to Kitty, and Kevin came clean with Scotty.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 9 "Holy Matrimony!"

Kitty's big day arrived at last on yesterday's episode of Brothers & Sisters, but as you would expect from the Walkers the wedding day wasn't all plain sailing. A couple of secrets were revealed to even more people, with Robert and Tommy set to face some serious challenges in upcoming episodes, and there was intrigue involving Holly.

Sarah was dateless at the ceremony (and amusingly annoyed at the lack of eligible bachelors!) but the other single Walkers each encountered problems with their dates. Kevin and Scotty bickered over Jason, Justin learnt the truth about Lena, and Nora was dumped by Stan at the reception following his incarceration alongside Tommy, Justin and Kevin! But more of that later...

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 8 "Something New"

The last few episodes of Brothers & Sisters have been pretty intense, so I was super-pleased that last night's installment had fun and laughs and lots of romance, as well as cameo appearances (Lyle Lovett) and new characters (Steven Weber as Graham).

The opening of the episode was a good indication of what was to come, with Nora's five children gathered with her at the house trying to help Kitty decide what song to pick for her and Robert's first dance, with them all talking about what song they lost their virginity to, including Nora (much to Justin's horror)! This leads on to Nora emailing her first love Stan Harris (played by Chevy Chase) to meet for dinner, while all five of her children experience important moments in their romantic relationships.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 7 "36 Hours"

Last night's installment of Brothers & Sisters was another heavy-duty episode, as the Walkers gathered around Justin to help him beat his addiction. While it was difficult to watch him go through the pains of withdrawal, it was so interesting to watch Nora and Justin's changing relationship — that was the big highlight of the episode for me.

This episode was particularly important for Tommy, Kevin and Saul too, as each of their storylines came to a head last night. A couple of my favourite lines came from Kevin and Saul's conversation as they were checking Justin's room for pills and possible problems, when Kevin accidentally said to Saul "Why don't you check the closet?" and later said "Let me get this straight — pardon the expression". Heh.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 6 "Two Places"

I can't believe we're already on to episode six of Brothers & Sisters! We've had episodes full of serious scenes and episodes full of laughs, and last night's installment was definitely one of the former with some tragic news rocking the Walkers.

The episode revolved around preparations for Kitty and (your favourite non-sibling) Robert's wedding, which they referred to as Operation Puppy. My favourite line came right near the beginning, when Robert said to Kitty must we call it that? and Kitty said: "Operation Shotgun Wedding Because The Condom Broke just doesn't have the same ring". Heh. I am so surprised at how much I'm liking Kitty this series.

Rather than sibling relationships, episode five of Brothers & Sisters focused on parents and children. Nora's Halloween costume provided some welcome relief to a pretty tense episode — gotta love those googly eyes with the witch's hat!

Your favourite Walker siblings Kevin and Justin took a back seat this episode, as the action revolved around (1) Joe and Sarah's battle for custody of Paige and Cooper, and (2) Kitty's shock discovery brought on by a prawn pizza. I don't want to spoil the surprise for those of you who haven't seen it yet, so more on that after the jump ...

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 4 "States of the Union"

Last week I said I wanted more laughs and last nights's episode certainly delivered! We were a little light on the Walker women in Episode 3, but they were back in a big way this week, and Nora, Sarah and Kitty's spa trip provided some of the best lines.

The rest of the family spent most of the episode in pairs: Rebecca and Justin were dealing (or not) with his pain medication issues; Holly was dealing (or not) with Tommy's indiscretions; and Kevin was tackling Saul over his sexuality. Or not.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 3 "History Repeating"

So this third episode of Brothers & Sisters was a bit too heavy on the lows for my liking, but there were a couple of highs too and the acting was first class as always. Justin's refusal to take pain medication dominated the episode, but there were interesting developments for Tommy and Kevin, and I like Kitty more each week.

I was very excited to see Scotty reappear in last night's episode, but the appearance of Julia's parents Beth and Ben was only going to spell trouble. Funnily enough though, my favourite line of the episode was in response to their arrival, when Saul said to Tommy "I don't hate golf. I loathe it. I despise it. I would rather spend all eternity at a dinner party seated next to Britney Spears". Heh.

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 2 "An American Family"

So we're onto the second episode of Brothers & Sisters Series 2, and while it wasn't as jam-packed as last week's opener there was still plenty going on for the Walkers. One of the things I love about this show is how it can make me laugh one minute and cry the next, and this was certainly one of those episodes.

The highlight of last night's episode was Nora, Kevin and Kitty's road trip. Kevin was on top form with his witty one-liners — my favourite has to be when Nora accuses him of driving slowly like somebody's grandmother and he says "somebody's hot grandmother". Heh. Nora and Kitty were hilarious too, with their call to Luther Reeve's radio show. It just got funnier and funnier, with Kevin's implication that Abraham Lincoln was gay almost inciting a Lincoln penny-pelting incident for Robert!

Pop Watch: Brothers & Sisters, Ep 1 "Home Front"

Wow, what a jam-packed episode! It's been quite a wait but Brothers & Sisters is back with the bickering, bonding and banter that I love. This episode picks up a couple of months after Kitty and Robert's engagement party, with matriarch Nora recording a video message for Iraq-based Justin, whom she hasn't heard from for three weeks.

Nora's message provides us with a useful update on where the siblings are at: Sarah, who is separated from Joe, is struggling with the competitive mums in the park; Kevin is busy dating Senator McCallister's brother, the yummy Rev. Jason; Tommy is working on a new contract for the vineyard while Julia is struggling back at home with baby Elizabeth; Kitty and Robert are facing questions about Justin and their engagement during their Presidential campaign interviews; and Rebecca, who is sleeping in Kitty's room and still not talking to Holly, is the only one Nora's seen much.
