The
National Television Awards may have had some
stunning dresses and make-up looks, and I may have gotten to talk to some great celebrities, but really the whole event was about the gongs that were handed out during the ceremony. Four US faces came over to help give them out — Zachary Quinto, Nicollette Sheridan, Michael Urie and Paris Hilton — but the winners were all Brits, as voted for by the public.
In the press room following each acceptance speech we were visited by the winners.

Lacey Turner took home
three awards for her role in
Eastenders at the Inside Soap awards at Gilgamesh in London last night. Lacey won the Best Actress, Storyline and Couple (with Charlie Clements) awards, and the BBC soap managed to receive
nine of the fifteen awards, beating rivals Coronation Street and
Hollyoaks.
Jennifer Metcalfe and soap star Tointon sisters Hannah (ex-Hollyoaks) and Kara (Eastenders) were also looking glam, with Kara taking home the award for Sexiest Soap star yet again
in her gold dress.

I'm very excited to see one of my favourite
Strictly Come Dancing couples, Eastenders' Louisa Lytton and professional dancer Vincent Simone, competing in this year's
Eurovision Dance Contest. The show, which will see Louisa and Vincent compete against couples from across the continent, takes place in Glasgow and will be broadcast on BBC tomorrow night. Vincent will then need to rush back to continue rehearsals with
his new Strictly partner Rachel Stevens.

Instead of using fancy brochures and an elitist image to attract students, Cambridge University is
pitching the campus to Britain's top three soap operas as its latest marketing campaign.
Cambridge's spokesman said: We're very keen to attract the brightest and best students regardless of their background. One of the better ways of communicating directly with potential students is to talk to them through the soaps and other programs they watch.

Singers, designers and actors took advantage of the lovely weather yesterday and headed to the Blackberry Bold Summer Party in London's Covent Garden. Rachel Stevens teamed her dark blonde hair shade with natural makeup —
do you love or hate her look? — while Henry Holland matched his casual outfit to the sunshine and proved men can rock the cut off shorts trend too! Joel Beckett showed off his checked shirt —
the item du jour at T4 On The Beach — alongside Eastenders' Emma Barton.
